The headline event in Dublin’s Capital of Sport 2010 takes place on Saturday 19th June when cycling’s Halford’s Tour Series comes to town. The main race takes place at 6pm and sees Ten of Ireland and Britain’s top 10 professional teams battle it out on Temple Bar’s famous cobblestones in Dublin’s very own version of the infamous ‘Hell of the North’ Paris – Roubaix cycling classic.
Among the teams competing will be An Post Sean Kelly and the iconic Team Raleigh. This is the first time in almost 20 years that Dublin has hosted professional cycling. The race starts and finishes on Lord Edward Street and all are welcome to come and watch what promises to be a great evening’s entertainment.
