Bloomsday Competition winners

(21/06/2010)

The winners of the text competition in association with Dublin City Council to raise funds for the Irish Youth Foundation (IYF) were Grainne Ahern and Tony Brady. They won the chance to take part in the Bloomsday Bike Rally cycling on two dublinbikes on 11th June 2010.

Grainne and Tony also attended the Bloomsday lunch and had an overnight stay in the Shelbourne Hotel. The Bloomsday Bike Rally is an annual event and a highlight of the summer’s calendar. This Joycean journey around the city leaves from the Oscar Wilde statue on St. Stephen’s Green and takes in many of the city’s highlights, including the Mansion House, before finishing back at the Shelbourne Hotel.

Photographed at the start of the rally are (L-R): Grainne Ahern, Cllr Andrew Montague, Joanne Grant (JCDecaux), Tony Brady, John Lynch (JCDecaux).
