Snap Happy Cyclists
Since the launch of dublinbikes in September 2009, we have been collecting dublinbikes photos which you have sent in from your travels throughout Dublin city and beyond. With over 3.1 million journeys clocked up around the capital in little more than two years, dublinbikes has proved to be one of the world’s most successful bike schemes and we have the photos to prove it!

An incredible 3 million journeys have been taken on dublinbikes. The 3 millionth trip happened shortly before 9.00AM on Thursday 22 December 2011 from Molesworth Street to Custom House Quay.

Dublin Marathon 2011 - Impact on dublinbikes
The Dublin Marathon will be taking place on bank holiday Monday, 31st October 2011. To facilitate the event, six stations will be closed from 4pm on Sun 30th to 6pm on Mon 31st October approximately.

To facilitate the civic reception for the new All Ireland Champions taking place this evening, Monday 19th September, we have been requested to close both dublinbikes stations on Merrion Square. It will not be possible to rent or return a db to/from the following stations until approximately 11am on Tuesday 20th September:

dublinbikes is two years old
Over two and a half million journeys later, dublinbikes celebrated its 2nd birthday on Wed 13th September. During this time dublinbikes has been recognised both here at home and internationally as one of the most successful bike share rental schemes in the world. Long term members have grown to over 37,000 with short term subscriptions topping the 25,000 mark.
